$ReleaseNumber
is an integer which gives the current Wolfram Language kernel release number, and increases in successive releases.
Details
- Each released revision of the Wolfram Language kernel for any particular computer system is assigned a version number, followed by a release number.
- The same source code may yield releases with different numbers on different computer systems.
- In a typical full version number, such as 1.0.3, the last integer is the release number.
