Copy

copies a selection to the clipboard without deleting it from your notebook.

Details

  • To copy selected material from a notebook and place it on the clipboard, highlight the area to be copied and choose Edit ▶ Copy.
  • The copied text or cells can then be inserted in another notebook or elsewhere in the same notebook with the Edit ▶ Paste command.
  • When copying text to external programs, Copy uses the method dictated by the TextClipboardType setting on a given cell to determine how to convert that cell's content to a textual form.
