$TimeZoneEntity

$TimeZoneEntity

gives the time zone Entity corresponding to the locale setting for your computer operating system.

Details

  • The Wolfram System uses the locale setting for your computer operating system to determine the appropriate time zone Entity.
  • If locale information is not available, Zulu time will be used as the default time zone Entity.
  • $TimeZoneEntity=z resets the current time zone entity for purposes of functions like DateString, DateList, and AbsoluteTime.
  • A list of available time zone entities can be found using EntityList["TimeZone"].
