AstroRangePadding

AstroRangePadding

is an option of AstroGraphics that specifies the padding to use when extending beyond the original ranges of coordinates.

Details

  • The settings can be of the following forms:
  • pthe same padding in all directions
    {plon,plat}different padding for different directions
    {{p11,p12},{p21,p22}}different paddings for the four sides of the astro range
  • For each direction, the following forms can be used:
  • Automatican automatic amount of padding
    Noneno padding
    quantitya Quantity angle
    Scaled[s]a fraction s of the angular ranges
  • AstroRangePadding->Full pads to cover the whole region shown by the map's astro range. AstroRangePadding->{padspec,Full} pads the astro range as specified by padspec and then adds extra padding to cover the whole region shown by the map's plot range.
  • AstroRangePadding extends AstroRange before projection.
