ParentEdgeStyle

is an option for Tree and related functions that specifies what styles should be used for edges.

Details

ParentEdgeStyle allows specifying the style of the parent edge of the root node of a tree, as well as that of any subtrees at positions matching a pattern.
The following option settings can be used:

	Automatic	use the automatic setting for style
	style	use style for the edge label
	{pos₁->style₁,pos₂->style₂,…}	use style_i for the edge at relative position pos_i
	{patt₁lbl₁,patt₂lbl₂,…}	use style_i for the edges at positions matching the pattern patt_i

Subtrees with no explicit edge style posstyle are taken to use the automatic style.
ParentEdgeStyle can apply to lines and faces.
To specify multiple style directives, use Directive[style₁,style₂,…].
Edge style specifications are effectively applied in the order ParentEdgeStyle, ParentEdgeStyleFunction and ParentEdgeShapeFunction, with later specifications overriding earlier ones.
In ParentEdgeStyle, Allstyle uses style for all subtrees.
In ParentEdgeStyle, TreeCases[pattern]style uses style for all subtrees with data matching pattern.
